BOOKING INFO
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Payment
Your booking is confirmed upon receipt of payment.
2. Participants
All my general workshops are for adults (18 years) or ages 14-17 years who are accompanied by an adult (both of you will need full price tickets).
For ‘Family Workshops’ all children must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18. Family events are suitable for children aged approximately between 5 and 13 years; accompanying younger siblings are free.
3. Additional needs
I aim for my workshops to be inclusive and welcoming to all. The beauty of being outdoors is that it can be a calm and nurturing space for a diverse range of people. Please discuss any additional needs with me before booking - this may include medical conditions, neurodiversity or other learning differences and mobility restrictions.
All my workshops will have an element of walking, usually on slightly uneven surfaces. If you are unsure whether you will be able to attend due to any health or mobility restrictions, please get in touch with me before booking so we can discuss first. Some of my workshop locations have easier access than others.
4. Dogs
No dogs are allowed on the workshops please.
5. If you can no longer attend a workshop
If you can no longer attend a workshop for which you have booked -
I am happy to move your booking to an alternative date if there is one available, as long as you contact me at least 48 hours before the event.
I can offer you a gift voucher for the full amount to be used in the future (they last for two years).
You can give your place to a friend or family member, but I need to be made aware of the change of person and to have their emergency contact information and any health or mobility issues.
I do not offer refunds, unless in exceptional circumstances (which is at my discretion).
6. If I have to cancel a workshop
The reasons I may have to cancel are below -
Bad weather - this includes heavy rain, strong/gusty winds, thunder and lightning. I will base my decision to cancel on the forecast the previous day and let everyone know via email and mobile number if you have provided one.
Extreme sickness - if I am seriously unwell, I will have to cancel.
In all these events, I will first offer you a place on another workshop. If you cannot attend then I will give a full refund.
7. Minimum booking numbers
I need a minimum of 3 people booked onto a workshop for it to run. If a workshop you have booked onto does not meet this number, then I will offer an alternative workshop date or a full refund. The maximum number on a workshop is 8 people.
8. Health and Safety
I take everyone’s health, safety and wellbeing seriously during my workshops. I carry out a Risk Assessment for each site ahead of the workshop, and will do a site review on the morning of the workshop. The Risk Assessment document is available at the start of each workshop for anyone wishing to see it, but I will give a brief overview of the major issues to be aware of. I ask that you come dressed appropriately, there will always be some walking on uneven surfaces so sturdy footwear is essential. Coats and warm clothes are needed in cooler months, and suncream and hats in warmer months. I will have First Aid bag with me and an Emergency Procedure Plan.
I will ask you to let me know of any health or mobility issues at the time of booking. And to give me the name and phone number of an emergency contact.
I ask that you follow my advice on being safe whilst out for our workshops, and cannot be held responsible for any accidents or injuries.
9. Insurance
I have Public Liability Insurance to the value of £1 million.
