Intro to Green Sketching - Festival of Chichester special event! Brandy Hole Copse, Chichester / Weds 25 June 10.30-11.30

£15.00

Join me (Claire) for an introduction to the joys of Green Sketching. Learn how simple drawing activities can turn a walk in the woods into a magical world of wonder, noticing and slowing down, benefitting our mental health and bringing calm to our busy lives.

Through guided activities we will take a slow approach to noticing our natural environment, and use a pencil to enhance our observations. This isn’t an art class, its about using drawing to connect with nature. Absolute beginners very much encouraged… and don’t worry, we won’t be sharing or comparing our drawings!

Part of the Day of Discovery at Brandy Hole Copse event, for the Festival of Chichester 2025. There are lots more events happening on this day at Brandy Hole Copse, please see the event page for more details!

We will meet at the Centurion Way entrance to the Copse (greet point for the Day of Discovery) before heading into the woods as a group. The What3Words location is toward.grew.natively or see the map photo above. Please feel free to arrive a little earlier to see what others things are going on at the event!

All materials are provided as part of your fee. Just bring yourself, a drink and any snacks you might want.

Please come prepared to be outdoors. Sturdy footwear is essential, and if it’s cold or wet, wear a coat and enough layers to stay warm while sitting down. If it’s sunny, please bring suncream and a hat.

There will be some walking on uneven surfaces (stones, roots, slight inclines) and either standing or sitting on logs/the ground for drawing. If you wish, you could bring a mat or something to sit on but this is not essential.

Participants must be over 18 years, or 14-17 years with an accompanying adult (you both need fully paid tickets). No dogs please.

There are no toilets at this location.

Please let me know if you have any serious mobility or health issues so I can make sure to accommodate everyone’s needs.

Please read the full terms and conditions - by booking this workshop, you are agreeing to these terms.
